The primary purpose of any cutout is to provide protection to the lines of your system and the various apparatus on those lines such as transformers and capacitor banks. Our cutouts provide reliable protection from low-level overloads that just melt the fuse link, intermediate faults, and very high faults, through maximum interrupt capacity.
In addition, this type of cutouts can also be used as a sectionalizing device. With the use of a portable load break tool, type C cutouts can function much like an overhead disconnect switch. A 300amp disconnect blade is also available for this purpose.
Interruption tests have been performed at full system line-to-line voltage. In each voltage class, there are continuous current ratings of 100 amps,200 amps, and 300 amps.
Application: The expulsion fuse cutouts offer reliable mechanism for providing circuit protection in Aerial distribution systems for voltages ranging from 11kV to 36kV. It is designed to be installed outdoors for vertical cross arm or pole mounting. We manufactures the expulsion fuse cutouts in both Porcelain & Silicone rubber insulators.
